E-Class

With competition on its tail, Mercedes Benz has lent its best-selling saloon in India more oomph. The E-Class is now being offered with biXenon headlamps and a 3-way memory package as standard equipment. The difference will be felt more with two new engine options, the E 230 and E 220 CDI.

E-Class with a new heart! Replacing the E 200 Kompressor, the new E 230 comes with a 2.5-litre V6 mated to a 7G-tronic transmission. Making 204PS@6100rpm, the E 230 is also more expensive at Rs 41.44 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). On the other hand, the E 220 COI (priced at Rs 38.99 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai) further fortifies Mercedes diesel range with a 2.2 litre engine, which is also the first in the segment.
