The Ambassador impresses by its ability to survive on, despite decidedly more modern and arguably better choices. Credit must be given to the company for the continued upgrade that the Amby has received: today, other than rela¬tively modern powerplants - a 1.8 litre petrol and a two-litre diesel - the car can be ordered with power steering and disc brakes on the front wheels. The body, too, has received a facelift with detailed modernizing by way of new head¬lamps, rear lamps, grille, bonnet and bumpers.
