The Accent has been one of Hyundai India’s most success¬ful products and though it’s due for a phase-out, it refuses to die. Simply because there are buyers who appreciate its clean styling, simple but spacious interior, willing 1.5-litre petrol engine, light controls, easy-to-drive character and reliability and low cost of running. But its interiors have not aged and the bigger 1.6 petrol and CRDi diesel engine are also not available. Nevertheless, it offers good value and remains a nice entry level saloon with a soft ride.
