The current gen SLK comes with the 350 V6 engine, a throaty exhaust note and coupe-cabriolet functionality. The hardtop raises and lowers itself within 17 seconds. For the more moneyed there is the SL, in 350 and 500 form. Both powerplants are identical to the S-Class, but having to shift lower weight, they are much quicker than the saloons. A grand tourer par excellence.
