Volvo's SUV is currently targeting the big boys with its V8 petrol and D5 diesel models. The XC90 has an army of safety devices and a large number of airbags. It is also very well specified and comes with an all-wheel drive capability. Most owners may not venture off-road, but those who do will find the venture quite rewarding. On the road it feels solid and well planted with very good high speed stability. The ride is also quite good and the cabin comfortable and well appointed.
